Few Knew where Mr. Spring came from. Some say he was once a noble, some say he descended from the heavens above.

Mr. Spring spent his life drawing plums. Many of his works were lost to time, except for a ripped half of a painting.

It was named Ban Yin, or Half Hidden, for its missing half and the plum drawn hidden by the flux of flowing clouds.

Mr. Spring lived on Wuyou Peaks by the Bay of Cang River. He lived alone and never left his residence even once.

When Ban Yin resurfaced, someone claimed their grandfather once saw Mr. Spring chatting with a friend in red.

An elder Zhu, aided by a servant, took out a manuscript, revealing the man in red in the painting as his uncle.

People dismissed the story. Mr. Spring was a person of arrogance and solitude, never treating others with hospitality.

Years later, the Zhu family shocked their guests at an event by revealing the other half on Ban Yin.
