Overview • Map

The Treasure Island event was about an encounter between Nikki and Elle on an island. The encounter was forgotten by both girls when the waves wash over them at the end. It takes place after the Nine-Night Tales event, though its relation to the main story, and whether it actually happened, is unclear.

Map Information[]

On the first run-through, the map contains 6 story stages, 11 common stages, and 7 challenge stages. After the first run-through, the map contains 18 common stages and 6 challenge stages. Story stages and common stages grant 1 Memory Shimmer , and challenge stages grant 5 Memory Shimmer for passing and 1 Memory Shimmer for failing (exception being one challenge stage in the first run-through that asks the player to choose between Elle and the Bypath, which grants 1 Memory Shimmer ). Challenge stages are styling battles, textual quizzes, or 3-pick-1 quizzes, the exact type generated for each challenge stage being random each time.

Sunrise Island[]

Prologue

(In the sea wind mixed with the damp smell of summer, seagull spreads its wings, gliding under the azure sky.)
(Warm orange rising sun casts light onto the waves brushing the rocks gently, leaving fine white foams.)
(On the beach, the seawater, with the coolness of last night, merges the feet of the two girls.)
(Nikki and Elle open eyes in the morning light.)
Nikki: Hmm... Where is this place?
Elle: ... What? Who are you?
(Nikki and Elle sit up, facing each other.)
Nikki: Uh... Hi, I'm Nikki.
Elle: What's this place?
Nikki: ...I don't know either.
Elle: This beach does not belong to Pigeon...
Nikki: Looks like an island...
Elle: In my impression, Miraland doesn't have such an island.
Nikki: ...An island out of thin air?
(Clear sounds of birds come with the sea wind. A white seagull flies over.)
(It flies above Nikki and Elle and drops a brown scroll.)
(Nikki takes it and the bird flies away.)
Nikki: ...This is?
(Elle takes the scroll from Nikki and spreads it open.)
(A line of words gradually reveals itself.)

Elle: It could refer to the sea. The route is walking along the coastline...

(Elle takes a look at Nikki and frowns.)

Story Stage 1[]

I met a strange boy in the seaside hut and a cute fawn...

(Following the route marked on the treasure map, Nikki and Elle walked on the beach for a while.)
(The beach of fine sand is gone. They are now walking on the gravels.)
Nikki: What's that!
(Following Nikki's pointing finger, Elle sees a green hut on the rock.)
Elle: It looks like the place marked on the map.
Nikki: Let's go check it out!
(Elle nods. The two walk toward the hut.)
(*Squeak--)
(The door opens and a boy walks out from inside. He's holding a fawn with brown patterns.)
Little Boy: Who are you?
Nikki: Isn't this the trial of King Sayet? Why is someone else here?
Little Boy: What are you talking about?
Nikki: There are people living in this world created by King Sayet?
Elle: How could a boy live here alone? I think, though it's a zone created by King Sayet, it could be a self-sustained world.
Nikki: Now that the treasure map leads us here, this boy must have something to do with the treasure?
Little Boy: What are you talking about? I don't understand...
Elle: (Nods carelessly) Kid, do you know where the treasure is?
Nikki: ...That's straightforward.
Boy: Treasure?
Nikki: Eh... This. Do you have any clue?
(Nikki hands the treasure map over to the little boy.)
Little Boy: I know nothing about treasures... Eh, this picture...
Nikki: What about it?
Little Boy: I seem to have seen this before... Let me think... Ah! Yes, I saw something similar in my friend's house. Maybe he know something.
Nikki: Your friend? Where is he?
Little Boy: On the other side of the island. To find him, you will have to cross the forest.
Elle: The let's go!
Little Boy: Hey, wait!
(The boy puts down the fawn before Nikki and Elle. Its black eyes look into Nikki's.)
Little Boy: He may not be willing to help you, so take this deer, it should be helpful.
Nikki: What a lovely deer!
(Nikki takes over the deer. It touches Nikki's hand gently.)
Elle: Wait. Why do you help us? And what's special about this deer?
(The boy flushes, his eyes avoiding Nikki and Elle.)
Little Boy: I... Eh... Birthday... Yeah, it's his birthday today. And this is the gift I prepared for him, but I have something else to do... So, would you please help me send it to him?
Nikki: Eh, are you sure...
Little Boy: Yes, that's right. Go now or it will be late when you get there.
(The boy touches the deer in Nikki's embrace then returns to the hut.)
Nikki: Something feels not right...
Elle: Maybe it is not right, but I don't want to waste any time here.
Nikki: Yeah... Then let's go now.
(Nikki and Elle walk toward the forest.)

Story Stage 2[]

Elle and I walked into a strange forest. The deer suddenly broke loose.

(Nikki holding the fawn enters the forest.)
(In the silent darkness, the lush canopy blocks almost all the sunlight from above.)
(In the shrubs at the bottom, small yellow and white flowers dot the ground.)
Nikki: Ah what's this? How cute!
(Nikki screams when she sees a fluffy thing with a red tail and a long white tail are nibbling a nut.)
Nikki: A squirrel? No... Fox? Or a rabbit?
(Nikki holds the fawn with one hand and reaches out the other to touch the animal's ear.)
(Elle looks at Nikki and frowns.)
Elle: It's just a Squirro. It's very common in the Pigeon Kingdom.
Nikki: Eh? So it's called squirro...
(Suddenly, the fawn breaks loose from Nikki's holding and jumps down.)
Nikki: Ah!
(The fawn takes a look back at the two, then with several swift jumps, disappears into the forest.)
Elle: ...
Nikki: Go!
(Nikki and Elle run after the fawn, but it runs too fast and no trace can be found.)
(The main road diverges ahead.)
(Beside the main road, there is a narrow path going into the shrubs.)
(Elle walks toward the main road.)

Story Stage 3 v1[]

Go with Elle: There are many weird plants along the main road. Elle and I still cannot find the fawn

(Nikki and Elle go on searching on the main road.)
(They see many strange plants. A tall tree with cloud-shaped leaves, flowers with rainbow colors, blue vines...)
(Both Nikki and Elle are shocked by what they see.)
Nikki: What an incredible place. Elle, aren't they marvelous?
Elle: I... I'm just trying to find out the trace of the fawn.
(But still, no trace is found.)
Nikki: Where could it go?
Elle: Let's go on searching.

Story Stage 3 v2[]

Take Bypath: There are many weird animals around the shrub path, but the fawn is not seen

(Nikki goes on the path in the shrubs.)
(On the road, Nikki sees many strange animals. Singing bears, gentleman rabbit wearing a hat, and a parrot saying hello to Nikki...)
(But still, no trace of the deer is found.)
Nikki: Where could it be... I hope Elle could have found it.
(Nikki walks forward and finds out that the path takes her back to the main road again, and a familiar figure is ahead.)
Nikki: Elle!
(Elle looks back and when she finds it's Nikki, she shows a touch of impatience and stands still.)
(Nikki runs over to Elle.)
Nikki: Elle, are you waiting for me?
Elle: ...No, I'm just resting.
Nikki: Have you found the fawn?
Elle: No.
Nikki: Neither have I... Let's go on searching for it!

Story Stage 4[]

Elle and I were stopped by a dangerous lake. We can only get across by the vines

(Nikki and Elle go on walking and suddenly a river blocks their way.)
(It's too wide to jump over it and the water is very rapid and deep. It seems very dangerous.)
Nikki: How could we get to the other side?
(Elle looks around her and her eyes stop at the vines on the trees by the riverside. The vines are very long, hanging from the canopy to the ground.)
(Elle tries the vines and finds they are very strong.)
Elle: Maybe this can help.
Nikki: We could give it a try...
(Elle grabs the vine and tries her best to throw it to the opposite side.)
(But the river is too wide. Elle cannot throw that far.)
Elle: ...I cannot reach that far.
Nikki: Eh... How about you hold the vine and let me swing you to the other side?
Elle: ...What about you?
Nikki: It's alright. You go on looking for the deer and I will walk along the river to see if there is any other way.
Elle: You...
(Elle looks at Nikki and she seems to be moved a little.)
Elle: No.
Nikki: Eh? Then how could we get over it?
(Elle lowers her head and presses her lips, thinking.)
Elle: I hope this vine is strong enough.
Nikki: You mean... We can hold the vine together and swing to the other side?
Elle: Umm, this vine is very strong. It should be able to hold two of us.
Nikki: Good idea! It's a blessing to have you. Without you, I won't be able to get over.
(Elle turns to look the other way. A touch of blush crawls onto her ear.)
Elle: Waste no more time. Hurry.
(Nikki and Elle hold the vine and step back as far as they can, then they jump forcefully and swing ahead.)
(The vine swings very high. The two hold the vine tightly and when they reach the highest position, Nikki heads Elle.)
Elle: Let it go.
(Nikki and Elle let it go at the same time and successfully land on the opposite side.)
Nikki: We made it!
Elle: Um! Let's find the fawn now!
Nikki: Eh? The treasure map is glowing!
(Elle unfolds the treasure map. A line of words appear on it.)
('I remember that we hold the vine so tightly. The sky above is close and the danger beneath becomes insignificant because we are together. Maybe this is friendship.')
(The writing fades away and the treasure map goes back to what it was like.)
Nikki: What does that mean... Is it some kind of hint?
Elle: Not like a hint, but like a recording of King Sayet.
Nikki: Recording? Who is that friend...
Elle: I'm not interested in it.
Nikki: ...Alright. Let's go on searching for the fawn.
(Elle and Nikki walk on into the deep forest.)

Story Stage 5[]

Elle and I strayed into the fog forest and we have to take the Fog Fairy's test.

(Nikki and Elle search the fawn and suddenly a figure appears ahead.)
Nikki: Over there!
(The fawn finds the two behind and runs forward again.)
Elle: !
Nikki: Stop!
(The two chase up.)
(In the thick shrub, Nikki and Elle go further and further. The view around keeps changing too.)
(The woods are getting dense and there is a fog rising. As they go deeper, the fog almost completely blocks their view.)
Nikki: Where is this place? Elle?
(Nikki looks around. The fog is so thick and Elle cannot be seen either.)
???: Outsiders invading the Fog Forest, be prepared to pay the cost.
Nikki: Who are you?
???: It doesn't matter. What matters is one of you must take the punishment.
(On the other side, Elle hears the same voice.)
Elle: Cost?
???: Now that you and your partner break in here, have a style contest with each other and let the loser take the punishment!
Elle: Why should we do that?
(Nikki hears the same words.)
Nikki: We won't do it!
???: You have no choices and your friends are ready. Now that it's in the forest, let animal element be the theme.

Concluding dialogue

???: Never thought you would be the winner. Now you can leave here.
Nikki: I won't go alone!
???: Are you stupid? You won and you don't have to take the punishment.
Nikki: Elle is my friend. I will not go without her!
(The fog dissipates. Elle is standing not far away from Nikki.)
Elle: You... I don't need your mercy.
Nikki: It's not mercy. I don't know why we are here... but now that we are partners, we should face difficulties together.
(Elle presses her lips and nods.)
Elle: Okay, let's face it together.
???: Ah ya, that's really troublesome...
(A fog rises on the branches before them. After a while, the fog dissipates and little person of a leaf's stature with wings appears.)
Nikki: Who are you?
Mist Fairy: I am the guardian of this Fog Forest, the great fog fairy!
Elle: There is a fairy in the zone created by King Sayet...
Mist Fairy: You two are really weird, but I cannot punish you both. What a hard choice to make... You? Or you? Ahhh...
Nikki: ...
Mist Fairy: How about this. My garden is damaged by a previous invader. Help me restore it and both of you will be free of punishment!
(Nikki and Elle look at each other then take the offer.)
(The two come to the fairy's garden. There are various colorful flowers in the garden, but one area was trampled.)
Mist Fairy: That's it. Restore it to normal and you will be free. Ah, I gotta pick what to plant next year. Don't you disturb me!
(The fairy left the garden. Nikki and Elle put the flowers back to the earth, but they still lower their heads.)
Nikki: We should water them, but it seems we cannot go back to the river.
Elle: The fog is so heavy here. There must be dew water somewhere around.
Nikki: Yes, then let's go find it out!
(The two of them take a banana leaf and gather dew water in the jungle. Some leaves are high, so Elle has to hold Nikki high to reach it.)
(Finally, they collect enough water to water the flowers.)
(When they are done, Nikki holds some water with her hands and stealthily splash to Elle, who counterattacks instantly. The lost fawn reappears and comes to their side.)

Story Stage 6[]

The fawn turned out to be a boy! With his help, we finally found the treasure.

(The garden has regained its original vigor and the fog in the forest finally dissipates. The sunshine casts down through the canopy.)
(A white light flashes and the little deer has become a little boy.)
Nikki: ...!
Deer Boy: I changed back!
Elle: What happened?
Deer Boy: Eh... Sorry!
(The little boy bows to the two.)
Deer Boy: Actually, it's me who broke here and ruined the garden, and the fairy here was angry and turned me into a fawn.
Elle: So, the boy by the sea knows it too. You work together to trick us.
Deer Boy: You... We didn't want to! My friend just wants to save me too much...
Nikki: So... you led us here intentionally?
Deer Boy: Umm... We don't know how to break the elf's spell, so I thought someone else could... I'm so sorry!

Elle: Fine.

Nikki: Is this the treasure kept by King Sayet? Finally!
Elle: Umm, it seems we can finally leave here.
Nikki: It's really interesting to have an adventure with friends.
Elle: Um.
Nikki: I wish I can meet you again when we are back in Miraland. We can have another adventure together.
Elle: I'll remember what we experienced here. And I will... remember you.
Nikki: Um, we will always be friends! Pinky swear!
(Elle nods and the two lock their pinkies, smiling.)
(They open the chest together. Suddenly, dark clouds cover the sky and fierce torrents roll over from afar.)
