Read through the story and pass styling battles to obtain Pieces of Eternal Star , which can be used to exchange in the Shining Memory portion of the event. Star Prophecy[]

Starlet tells Nikki and Momo about a prophecy regarding the Blood Curse. Pure human emotions once became stars, but when a bloody mist cut off humans from the sky, the stars dried up. Monsters were born in the mist, clamoring for any emotion to feel satiated, but unable to interfere with the human realm due to the mist. The prophecy foretells that if the Blood Curse is removed, humanity would face some terrible disaster. However, when the monsters were born, a certain existence was born as well to resolve the crisis: Nikki. Nikki has a unique fate orbit that neither Starlet nor her master, the Star Seer, can interpret, and only when Nikki makes decisions will this orbit leave its trace in the sky. Although they cannot predict Nikki's fate, the Star Seer has Starlet relate to Nikki that though the light of the stars may be faint, it is the countless stars that light up the night sky and drive away the darkness.

(A long time ago, sincere human emotions converged into dots of flickering and shining light which fluttered to the sky and turned into stars.)
(Stars gathered to light up the night sky, and thus people no longer worried about the darkness after sunset.)
(The tranquil starry sky was like a silent guard who was born out of the sincerity of mankind to guard this continent.)
(However, a bloody mist cut humanity off from the sky).
(The starry sky that lost its source gradually dried up, and those sincere emotions also deteriorated.)
(Then monsters were born in the dim sea of stars.)
(It clamors for all emotions to satisfy the monsters' appetites instead of reproducing the brilliance of the night sky.)

Starlet: Only when Nikki makes choices and takes actions will this fate orbit leave traces in the starry sky. So it is unpredictable and uninterpretable.
Momo: Mysterious... Then what about the blood mist and monsters you just mentioned?

Nikki writes a warning letter saying that the Blood Curse is in an unstable situation and if the Curse is broken by League Tyr, disaster will be unleashed. However, the media and nations of Miraland respond to Nikki's warnings differently, some believing it and some not.

Small Changes Add Up[]

After seeing Nikki's doomsday letter, Bai Yongxi invites Nikki to Brocade City to meet with him and Fu Su. Bai Yongxi received intel that Zhu Yuxian is traveling to the North with someone likely to be Xiao Zong in a few days. A catastrophe was predicted on that same day by an imperial astronomer. Bai Yongxi plans to set up an ambush to delay Zhu Yuxian and create an opportunity for Fu Su to use a mirror to try and trap his old master into an illusion and stall for time. The main priority is to protect the Blood Curse, and Nikki has already made plans with someone to head to the League Tyr camp.

(It's snowy outside. Nikki and Momo are following a palace servant to an elegant study.)
(Outside the door, the servant gestures Nikki to wait, and then enters the room to report to King Xi.)
Palace Servant: Your Highness, the noble guest is here.
Bai Yongxi: Send her in.
(When Nikki steps into the room, warm breath filled with a sandalwood fragrance wafts by.)

Nikki, Agata, and her team sneak into a League Tyr camp posing as members of the Knight of Kingdom sent by the King of North to help League Tyr while wearing uniforms prepared by Kimi. To avoid suspicion while searching for Nidhogg, Nikki and Agata investigate alone.

(Agata inspects the base with a telescope. The camp gate is heavily guarded, with soldiers on patrol.)
Agata: They have put in place more guards. Their number doubles compared with that when we came here for investigation.
Momo: Can our plan go smoothly?
Nikki: We can only do our best.
Agata: Attention, everyone. Put on your Imperial Army uniform. This is a make-or-break moment.

(The soldier takes them to an empty room.)
Soldier: Stay here for a while. Let me find Cap. to assign you tasks.
(Saying that, the soldier takes his leave.)
(Momo jumps out of Nikki's backpack.)
Momo: Phew... My heart almost leaped out of my throat!
Nikki: We finally passed the first round.
Agata: Thanks to the Imperial Army uniforms provided by Miss Kimi. Unexpectedly, the North Kingdom even has to rely on other countries to produce uniforms.

Agata and Nikki subdue a guard and learn that Nidhogg is preparing for a ritual in a certain building. While heading there, they are confronted by Ozeca. Agata challenges Ozeca to a styling battle, but Ozeca laughs and shoots her pistol into the air. Nikki tries reasoning with Ozeca, but she does not care if the removal of the Blood Curse would bring destruction, only concerned with following Nidhogg's orders. The gunshot attracts more soldiers, but Agata subdues many of them and disarms Ozeca. Momo opens the door to the building, but Agata stays outside to fight off the enemies, telling Nikki to block the door once she makes it. Nikki obeys reluctantly, and Agata is eventually overpowered by sheer numbers.

(Agata and Nikki walk carefully through the corridor and come to a side door.)
(There is a soldier on duty standing at the door. He yawns and looks tired.)
(Agata seizes the moment when the soldier is distracted and takes control of him.)
(A moment later, Agata knocks out the soldier who has provided the information before passing through the side door with Nikki to the snow-covered ground.)
Nikki: According to him, Nidhogg is preparing for the 'ritual' in the building on the front left.
Agata: That must be a ritual to break the Curse of Blood. We should hurry up.
(When they hurry to the front of the building, a figure stops them.)
Ozeca: I felt something was wrong in the camp today. It turned out to be you two little rats.
Agata: Cut the crap. Let's have a styling duel!
Ozeca: Hahahahaha... Times have changed, former head of Kingdom Knights.

Nikki and Momo sneak into the room and see Nidhogg confronting the True King. The King is angry that Nidhogg is trying to remove the peace he brought to Miraland, while Nidhogg replies that the peace was no peace at all. From the strange mechanical table in the middle of the room, the peace dove brooch Xiao Zong stole emits a red light. The True King tries to grab the artifact he once owned but falters as an image of his old self on a throne appears. Nidhogg transforms the brooch into a knife and stabs the image, causing the True King to cry out in pain as he relives the memories of his betrayal. Angered, he says that Nidhogg would pay, and a beam of red light floods the room. Nidhogg collapses as if in extreme pain and Bobo's body falls as if she lost her soul.

(Nikki and Momo get in quietly through the half-open door and see two people confronting each other in the middle of the room.)
Bobo: You fool, why do you want to break the peace I gave you?
Nidhogg: That's not true peace at all, but a mirage of your self-righteous and wishful thinking.
Bobo: You idiot! I am the true will of this continent, and only I can protect this continent from the fate of destruction!
Nidhogg: Ridiculous.
Bobo: How can you mortals understand the enlightenment of the true king? Death is the only ending for you!
Nidhogg: It seems you still don't understand your situation.
Bobo: What does that mean?
(Nidhogg takes out an object and places it on the table in front of him.)
(Nikki discovers a strange mechanical table between the two, where a few items are placed, giving out a faint luster.)
(Following Nidhogg's moves, a ray of red light emerges from the table, penetrating the skylight in the roof to reach the sky.)
(Nikki discovers the source of the red light is the peace dove brooch that was robbed by Xiao Zong not long ago.)

(But she suddenly stops her footsteps, because the red light from the round table weakens and gradually condenses into a figure.)

(A man with his head down is sitting on the throne surrounded by thorns.)

(As Bobo speaks, the man on the throne comes to life. He raises his head, and stares angrily at Nidhogg with his red eyes.)

The King stops his kindness

(A brighter beam of red light suddenly shoots from the room, as if it was going to thoroughly cleanse the world.)
(Bang... )
(Nidhogg staggers against the mechanical desk and struggles to prop himself up on the knife. With brows furrowing and face ghastly white, he looks extremely pained.)
(As the man on the throne gradually disappears, Bobo collapses as if her soul was taken away.)
(Meanwhile, there are low groans rising from the hallway. With the red light lingering on, it looks like hell.)

Mutant[]

Nidhogg collapses due to the pain from the Blood Curse and Nikki checks on Bobo and finds that she is still alive. Since Nidhogg is still feeling the Blood Curse, even though it was broken, they think they still have time to stop the destruction. On the mechanical desk, a familiar butterfly necklace is set, reminding Nikki of the time of Lunar's death. The necklace seems to shiver, but a strong wind arrives and with it Xiao Zong.

Xiao Zong takes Nidhogg's knife, saying Fu Su was too weak to stop him. Nikki is angered and calls Xiao Zong selfish for pursuing his dream of becoming a god at the cost of the world. Xiao Zong laughs arrogantly and a hole appears above his head. Nikki tries to grab the butterfly necklace but the winds are too strong and push her away. The hole above Xiao Zong becomes large enough for him to pass through.

(When the red light dies down, Nidhogg can't endure the pain anymore and collapses to the ground.)
(Nikki rushes to Bobo. After checking her breath, she is reassured.)
Nikki: The Curse of Blood is broken...
Momo: It looks like Nidhogg is still suffering from the Curse of Blood!
Nikki: So we still have time!
(Nikki and Momo walk up to the desk. The strange red light is already gone. Only dim light is beamed from the accessory.)
(There is an accessory set at the center of the desk, which Nikki is familiar with - the Butterfly Necklace.)
(At the moment, Nikki recalls her miserable experience on the tower in the rainy day. She feels too upset to breathe.)
(Nikki shakes her head emphatically, as if she was shaking off the sorrow.)
(Suddenly, Nikki notices the butterfly on the necklace slightly shivers its wings. But when she is still wondering if her eyes have played tricks on her, a strong wind blows towards her.)
Momo: What's going on? Where's this wind from?
???: Hahaha, the moment has finally come.
(Someone is laughing arrogantly with heartfelt joy, chilling Nikki to the marrow.)
(A figure lands from the sky and picks up Nidhogg's knife.)
Nikki: Xiao Zong!
Momo: You... But you should've been held back by Fu Su!
Xiao Zong: You think he can defeat me with that small mirror?
Xiao Zong: Humph! After all these years, he shows no progress.

(Nikki looks at the strange mechanical desk. The wind is still blowing from the Butterfly Necklace set at the center.)
(Against the tornado-like wind gust, Nikki plods towards the desk. But apart from the wind, there seems to be another force dragging her back)
Xiao Zong: Stop your useless struggle.
Nikki: No! I won't give up... I won't let you destroy the world! You lunatic!
Xiao Zong: Then I'll take your life, and make you my first sacrifice after I become the God!
(The wind became so stronger, that even the rocks and sundries were rolled into the sky.)
(Nikki comes near to touching the mechanical desk, but is soon blown into the sky.)

Momo: Ah... Help! Nikki...
Nikki: Momo!
(Momo is swinging in the wind, and Nikki struggles to keep balance.)
(But Xiao Zong is not affected by the wind at all. He remains still, staring fanatically at the hole.)
(The palm-sized hole above his head is now big enough for him to pass.)
Nikki: So... That's it?

End?[]

On the verge of giving up, Nikki feels a faint presence guiding her towards the butterfly necklace. Holding onto that force, she catches the necklace and the winds stop, setting them all on the floor again. Xiao Zong had disappeared through the hole, but Nikki and Momo have no time to wonder what's beyond it, as Nidhogg could awaken at any moment. They take Bobo and the artifacts used in the ritual with them and leave.

(About to give up, Nikki senses a special force in the wind.)
(Unlike the force that prevented her from approaching the mechanical desk, this new force seems to be pushing her towards the Butterfly Necklace.)
(But the wind is so heavy that the weak force is immediately destroyed.)
(Nikki is aware that this may be her last chance. She calms down and closes her eyes, trying to connect with the disappearing force.)
(Like a spring breeze gently caressing the first buds, the weak force pushes Nikki against the heavy wind towards the Butterfly Necklace inch by inch.)
(Nikki finally catches a warm object. She opens her eyes and firmly grasps the Butterfly Necklace.)
