— Wind and Cloud
The little monk went to the Mount Iron Feather which was densely covered with weeds and stones on his own.
— Iron Feather Clothes
Wind is getting strong in the night. He remembered the old words: when traveling at night, beware of the moonlight.

Strange sound comes from the dark and the black mist covers the moon, but the Monk has to save those people.
— High Place Geta
Watching the kami leaving, the monk kept kowtowing. Then he remembers the mask worshiped back in his home.

— Ferret Feather
With the ring of the staff, the miracle happens. The monk tried to kneel but got taken in the air by the kami.
— God's Glove
Gilt crutch, red stone, and Buddhist songs. The little monk suddenly knew the answer to a centennial riddle.
— Soul Clutch
One side of the spell is to constrain the demons and the other to protect the human.
— Soul Spell
People deem the winged kami capricious but had little knowledge of karma.
— Iron Feather
Cross over the mountain and save your people. He threw up his hands and a road appeared in the middle of the mountain.
— Preordained Fate
Centuries ago, a monk like you entered the holy mountain with iron will. The kami narrates in silence.
— Samsara Twilight
Under the mask, the scarlet pattern is the medal of endless battles; in his eyes, the words of truth and karma were told.
— Karma of Zen
The little monk walked all the way to the village beyond the mountain and his cure cleansed the plague.
— Iron Feather Miracle
Interpretation[]
Tengu is actually derived from the Chinese tiangou, a type of black dog that lives in the sky and eats the moon (during lunar eclipses). The Tengu was brought over to Japan from China along with Buddhism, Confucianism, government, etc. over 1,000 years ago. And quickly adapted into a completely unique Japanese being. Although it still retains the name, the Tengu bears no resemblance whatsoever to its Chinese namesake.[1]
