Special accessories are split into 9 subcategories:
- Face: Often glasses, eye-patches, sunglasses, circlets, cheek bejewelings, etc.
- Brooch: Often items on the front of the torso such as satchels, pins, sashes, badges, etc.
- Tattoo: Any printed image or pattern on the skin; this can include the facial region.
- Wings: Items worn behind the back.
- Tails: Items worn from behind the lower-back; this can include large bows.
- Foreground: Items placed in front of Nikki.
- Background: Items placed behind Nikki.
- Head Ornament: Items often free-floating near Nikki's head, and may or may not be in the foreground or background.
- Ground: Items on the ground which may be under or around Nikki.
