Interpretation[]
In The Old Epochs, a book chronicling Miraland history, is a chapter detailing the Lost Kingdom of Aram. Aram, an island kingdom in the sea where mermaids and humans could live as equals, was ruled fairly by Queen Gardenia, a golden-tailed mermaid. In face of violent storms threatening Aram, Gardenia remained calm through the chaos, offering her subjects the choice to either flee or stay. Finally, the island shakes in the bough of the storm and sinks. Gardenia commands her people to sleep, transforming them into fish as the kingdom, intact, sinks to the ocean floor. Aram has rested ever since, waiting to be reawakened.
