Return to Autumn is about a designer named Qi Lanxiang. She belongs to the Qi family, which is a well-known, philanthropic family that has been around for a long time.
Qi Lanxiang stole from the rich to give to the poor, and was nearly caught. She was saved by a boy, who became her first friend outside of her family's house. He inspired her to view the world and travel, which she kept as a beloved secret for a long time. She would occasionally sneak out to the streets to get a taste of a nomadic life.
At some point, the Qi house faced hardship, and nobody could save the family. Qi Lanxiang said she would try, and left in the late autumn. She went to the Designer's Tea Party, and though she was an outsider there, her design brought her family success.
