Reid is a character that appears in Love Nikki. He is the chairman of the Mercury Group, an influential banking and design group in Apple.

Personality
History
Early Life
Year 678
Reid worked as the senior design director at Rawding Academy during this year, and Kimi studied under him as she created a dress for an exhibition. The two of them did not have a close relationship, and Reid criticized Kimi's design when she asked for his opinion one month from said exhibition.[2] Some of Kimi's groupmates found this unfair since he didn't criticize the designs of other groups.[5]
Reid later went to visit Kimi where she was helping out at the Children's House, and they didn't talk about the design. Instead, they went back to where the children were and Kimi lit a sparkler for him at his request. Reid made animal shapes with them, surprising Kimi and wowing the kids.[4]
When Kimi later expressed her doubts and stresses about the upcoming exhibition, Reid reassured her, giving her a handkerchief and insisting that she needed a break.[6] Before he left, Reid gave a sakura-themed brooch to the children and asked them to give it to Kimi for him as a birthday present.[7] Following that, Reid and Kimi were much more friendly towards each other, surprising Kimi's classmates.[8]
Year 680
Dawn Front
Reid and Shade competed against Kimi and Orlando at Losol City in order to retrieve the Heart of Snow. Reid's operation was meant to be top secret, but Kimi figured it out before the battles began.[9]
Reid spoke briefly to the player if they joined forces with him, telling them that there were obstacles in the way of his travels to Losol City. He said that he would explain them in the helicopter on the way to Losol.[10]
Relationships
Kimi
As the chairman to the Apple Apparel Group's competitor (the Mercury Group) and an old friend of Kimi, Reid generally did not interfere with the AAG's business out of respect for her, and she seems to trust him.[11]
During the White Blossom Banquet, he pressured her into dancing with him while she was in disguise, and during the dance her hairband fell out and he kissed her (possibly to hide her face). Still, Kimi seemed to believe he had her best interests at heart, saying that "there didn't seem to be a better solution".[12]
