Pota is a tribe in the Republic of Wasteland. It is the easternmost tribe in the country, and is best known for its fire dance and barbecue.[2]

History

Year 680

Ransa, a member of the Iron Rose Stylist Legion, came to the Pota tribe and earned the favor of the Chief of Pota with her styling skills. She became the archpriest of the tribe. After this, she began to make an elixir for the Chief of Pota, and he fell into a coma. This gave Ransa the opportunity to take control of the tribe.[3]

She imprisoned the Chief's son, Tuda, but he managed to sneak away and hide from her, even though her men were after him.[3] At this point, he ran into Nikki and her friends while at a restaurant trying to sneak food.[4] They encouraged him to stand up to Ransa, and Nikki beat her in a styling battle with the wager being the antidote to wake up the Chief.[5]

Ransa left the Pota tribe and they helped to revive the Chief of Pota from his coma. He revealed that she had once given him the badge of the Iron Rose. They suspected that the reason she had come to Wasteland was to search for designs.[1]

With this knowledge, Tuda decided that he was interested in traveling the world to improve his styling skills. He left the Pota tribe to go to North Kingdom.[1]

Before Nikki and her friends met Tuda, there was a bonfire party, which they joined in to combine rock music with folk music.[6] This inspired a little girl from the tribe to try to learn to dress up as a rock singer.

Locations

As Pota is at the border of the Republic of Wasteland, the train station connecting it to Apple Federal and Pigeon Kingdom is nearby.[7] There is also a tent restaurant that serves barbecue.[8]

Trivia

  • According to Tuda, the markings on his face prove he is the son of the Chief. It can be inferred that the leaders of the Pota tribe have those markings in order to set them apart.[3]
