Interpretation[]

A girl named after the New Moon, gifted with the ability to predict weather through the moon's phases, grows up lonely, partially due to the uniqueness of her talent, but still fascinated by the moon's beauty. She collects stories of it by journeying through tundras, forests and deserts. She is briefly aided while lost in a desert by a guide who can read the stars, and who shares in her passion for nature's secrets. Travelling alone to a destination of a grand Planetarium, she compiles her stories into a book.

A rare lunar event occurs, but she gives others the chance to use it in the observatory, choosing instead to later find her own answers using her power and bond with the moon.
