Interpretation[]
Selyse is god's favorite daughter who lives in an oasis founded by God after growing tired of the heavenly landscape. Her older sister, presumably Florine, makes flowers bloom when she fancies those that are not in season. Selyse passionately dances in any place or situation for an audience or just for entertainment. She uses dance to express herself and to please the people who watch her.
Although Selyse has everything given to her, her heart is cold and barren. Everyone loves her, she is born into wealth and prosperity, and is blessed with beauty, but Selyse loves the sun, as it does not change its course to stop for her dance.
