Interpretation[]
An excerpt from the Lost Kingdom chapter of The Old Epochs history book details the story of Olivia, a girl who transforms into a jellyfish with eternal life. Hearing a mermaid's song, she happens upon Queen Gardenia, who welcomes her into the kingdom of Aram, where humans and merfolk live in harmony. One day, she awakes from a long slumber to find only the sea where Aram once stood. Wandering in search of answers, she rescues a stranded sailor who reveals Aram had sunk into the sea centuries ago, but that Queen Gardenia also foretold a prophecy that Aram would one day reawaken, and all of its people would reunite. Olivia holds to the Queen's prophecy through the ages, eventually returning to the sea to slumber again, hoping to be woken up by the same song that drew her to Aram all those years ago.
