Lore[]
Story[]
Heat. Is the temperature at which the blazing sun mercilessly scorches the earth and its beings.
Lust. Is the thirst for water from the depth of the souland the devilish flower that blooms in the recesses of the heart.
The Turins River is a miracle river Ra the Sun God and he king of the gods bestows on the Wasteland. In serenity it flows under the sacred and golden sun. In tranquility it blesses the earth and gives the Wasteland life and hope.
But now the Turins, a gift from god, has become a fertile land for war and sin due to a drought that has lasted for seven years.
Misguided people who are brandishing machetes taint the banks of the Turins with blood. The outcries of murder and the howls of suffering sound the knell of purgatory with a heavy and hopeless force.
Among these cries a tender but plaintive voice can be heard.
'Oh great Sun God...is this what you want to see? Humans created in your vision, your loyalest and devoutest creations, are hacking each other with machetes?'
It's a girl with black hair and a halo on her head. She is donned in a white linen dress that drops down to her ankles. Her ebony and silky skin makes her look like a divine creation.
Lo, what a pair of eyes! They scintillate with the radiance of the omniscience of god, they exude the kindness and altruism of mortality, and they encompass the infinite and arcane laws of the universe.
Amidst the strife and chaos, this pair of eyes stare directly into the sun.
Tears streak down from her beautiful cheeks and fall on the earth soiled with blood.
Harriet was born in the Montoose Tribe on the bank of the Turins. Harriet's mother drank the water from the Turins and felt her belly bloat up like a balloon. Later, a baby girl was born with her eyes wide open. This pair of eyes was regarded by the priest of the tribe as 'eyes of miracles.'
'Oh great Sun God, thank you for bestowing upon us this gift. May light be with you eternally, praise be to you.'
Arya the chief of the Montoose tribe has Harriet in her arms. She and the people of the tribe worship towards the sun on bended knee.
'Praise be to you.'
'Oh great Sun God, thank you for giving me life and letting me be born. You let me see the beautiful world you personally created, and you made me fall in love with this land and its people.'
'But now, you want to take it all away?'
The Sun God doesn't answer Harriet.
War wages on.
Harriet watches as the earth she loves soak in blood and the lives of sentient beings perish because of the drought. On the battleground crazed with bloodthirst and among the piles of corpses on the dried river bank, Harriet recognizes her families, her friends, those who once professed to be the daughters of the Turins, and those who worshipped her on bended knees at her priesthood ritual.
Suddenly, Harriet remembers the autumn night on which she held hands with the people of Montoose and danced around the bonfire thanking the year's harvest. She wore the long dress Tara the Priest made her by hand and the frontlet socketed with emerald that was unique to Montoose.
A breeze wakes her up from the smiling faces.
'Oh great Sun God. Almighty Genesis God.' Harriet closes her eyes, 'good people should not be brandishinig machetes, how cruel and hideous are eyes blinded by violence.'
It shouldn't be like this. This world shouldn't be like this.
Suddenly, everything disappeared. The pungent and rotten smell, the deafening sound, and the people that keep falling to the ground. She opens her eyes and sees herself in the middle of a golden and boundless ocean. Magnificent and holy bell toll can be heard from the distant horizon.
'Oh great Sun God, if this is the calamity that will befall the Wasteland, I wish to sacrifice my insignificant body for your clemency.' Harriet kneels before the shining golden knee in the distance. She touches the ground with her forehead.
Then, she gets up, takes a step, and touches the ground with her forehead again.
One step after another, Harriet moves in the gilded direction until she can't feel her legs anymore and until the blood from her forehead has drenched her white dress crimson.
Just as she reaches the brightness, with the last of her strength gone she loses consciousness.
Blood blurs Harriet's eyes. She can't see anything anymore.
All of a sudden, a powerful hand reaches out of the brightness towards her.
The hand brushes past Harriet's forehead. The gash on the forehead miraculously heals.
A resonating bird wail can be heard from afar as a colossal pair of wings cut across the sky. It's the Messenger of Good Tidings, the Legendary Bird Basaar.
Praise be to you, oh great Harriet the Goddess of Hope!
You've brought to the earth Basaar the Messenger of Good Tidings who rains the seeds of peace and hope.
The holy and melodious breeze brushes past your golden staff. The altar of the Wasteland is filled with the chanting of your name.
Praise be to you, oh great Goddess Harriet!

Interpretation[]
Hallat (spelled here as Harriet) was born to the Montoose tribe in the Republic of Wasteland. They lived by Lake Torance, but a seven year drought caused war to break out among the people. Harriet prayed to the Sun God Ra, and found herself in a boundless golden ocean, where she continued to walk forward and touch her forehead to the ground. She reached the end of the golden light as the blood from her forehead blinded her and stained her dress crimson. A pair of hands reached out and healed her wounds, and the Legendary Bird Basaar, the Messenger of Good Tidings, flew out over the earth. The land received God's blessing, and people's sins would be forgiven in death thanks to Hallat's sacrifice. Hallat became a goddess, and is widely worshipped in the Wasteland as the Goddess of Hope and a symbol of peace.
King Sayet designed the suit as praise to the True King, perhaps seeing both the True King and Hallat as bringers of peace.[1]
