The maintainers of this page can only offer advice, and cannot fix any ingame issues; they are fans, just like you.
There are two different ways you can start a new game: you can create a basic Guest Account, or you can log in with one of the binding methods. These two types of accounts have different abilities. Guest accounts can later be bound and receive these exclusive features.
Guest Account[]
A guest account is the most limited type of account. You don't need a login or password; just click on the Guest button on the login screen.
Limitations of Guest Accounts[]
- You cannot transfer your game account to a new device.
- If you uninstall the game, you lose your account.
- During updates, you have a chance of losing your account.
- You don't have a Friends List.
- You can't get bonuses from 'sharing' your progress or giving Stamina
to friends.
Due to the risk of losing your account if it is not bound in any way, it is strongly suggested to bind to Facebook, email, Apple ID (iOS only), or Google.
Bound Accounts[]
To remove the guest limitations, bind your account to one or more of the offered services.
Advantages of Bound Accounts[]
- You can log into your game from multiple devices (or retrieve your info if you have to re-install).
- You can add other players to a Friends List, send/receive Stamina , and vote for them in Competitions.
- Has no risk of losing account.
Bind to Facebook[]
One option to bind your account is to link with Facebook. You can only bind one Love Nikki account to one Facebook account and this can NOT be undone.
There are 2 ways to bind to your Facebook account:
- Start a new game using your Facebook login:: Click the "Facebook" option on the login screen. A pop-up will appear; enter your Facebook email/password into the pop-up, then give Love Nikki permission to see your name/profile picture and your friends list.
- Upgrade an existing account: Click the "bind account" button with the Nikki icon from the event bar on the right-hand side of the screen. When there are a lot of active events, the "bind account" button may be pushed to the second page of the list.
Facebook-bound accounts can receive extra bonuses by "Sharing" progress to Facebook. This feature is not available to guests, nor accounts that are bound solely with other options.
Guest accounts that link with Facebook will receive the Pink Wishes suit upon successfully binding.
Bind to Apple ID[]
This is another security option for iOS players using iOS 13 or above. Apple ID-bound accounts cannot receive rewards from sharing. In the past, they did not have access to the Friends List, but this feature is now available to all bound accounts.
Apple ID and Facebook are mutually exclusive binding methods — players cannot bind with Apple ID if they are bound to Facebook, and after binding to an Apple ID, the player cannot bind to Facebook[1]. However, a player can bind their account via Apple ID if they sign into their Facebook account as a guest at the login screen.
One Apple ID can only be connected to one game account, and once connected, it cannot be disconnected.
- Start a new game using Apple ID: Click Apple ID on the log-in screen. You will then be prompted to complete the facial recognition.
- Upgrading an existing account: Click the "bind account" button with the Nikki icon from the event bar on the right-hand side of the screen. When there are a lot of active events, the "bind account" button may be pushed to the second page of the list.
Guest accounts that link with Apple ID will receive the Pink Wishes suit upon successfully binding.
Bind to Google[]
A more recent addition is the Google option for binding. This method is is accessible regardless of which other methods are already used to bind the account (so an account may be bound to Google, Mail and a choice of Apple ID or Facebook at one time).
- Start a new game using Google: Click Google on the log-in screen. A pop-up will appear; enter your Google email/password into the pop-up to sign in.
- Upgrading an existing account: Click the "bind account" button with the Google icon from the event bar on the right-hand side of the screen. When there are a lot of active events, the "bind account" button may be pushed to the second page of the list. Note that this is a different icon from the previous two bind methods.
Guest accounts that link with Google will receive the Pink Wishes suit upon successfully binding.
Bind to Mail[]
Mail binding is an additional security option available regardless of which other methods are already used to bind the account.[2] It is a more limited form of binding — though friend features are now accessible to all bind methods, this method is considered the closest to a Guest account, and will not have access to other bind rewards like 'sharing' or the Pink Wishes gift.
New games cannot be started with a Mail login. After logging in to an existing account, click on your avatar picture, then Settings, then select "Bind Account with Mail". Type in your email address and a password.[3] Note: You cannot change or recover your password once it has been chosen.
Recovering a mail-based account[]
On the loading screen before entering the game, press the Mail button in the upper right hand corner and log in using the email and password you chose.[3]
Fixes to Account Issues[]
Note: These fixes are provided by the community and not the official management of the game.
- If it appears that your Facebook-bound account has "reset", a potential fix is outlined by /u/chappyfu here.
- If you deactivate your Facebook account and lose access to your Facebook-bound Love Nikki account, you can temporarily reactivate your Facebook account (provided it has been less than 30 days), log back into Love Nikki and bind to your email, and use the email binding to continue playing Love Nikki after deactivating Facebook again.
