Applause and screams broke out as Xiaxia put an end to the morning rehearsal with her bass.

She wiped the sweat off her forehead and thanked the audience with a cute gesture.

After the rehearsal, the band left the building together, and Xiaxia was walking backwards in front of the others.

'We had the greatest rehearsal today! We're gonna rock the celebration! Shall we have dinner together after the performance? My treat.'

'Good job, Xiaxia. Keep it up.' The band leader, the guitarist, smiled and stroked Xiaxia's head.

For a moment she felt so familiar as she had the same feeling on the day of graduation. At that time she was crying on the stairs at school, and someone stroked her head the same way.

It was like she was back to that summer, that season of farewell.

Xiaxia raised her head and smiled to the leader. 'Sure. I got this!'

They walked by another rehearsal room while chatting. Gradually they heard a melody played by violin coming out of the room. It was a melody which Xiaxia has been so familiar.

'Wow... That's beautiful!' Xiaxia couldn't help but followed the melody to the room. 'Well, this is about to reach my level.' The lead singer walked behind Xiaxia and patted her on her shoulder. 'Xiaxia, you can play the violin? I don't know that!'

Xiaxia put away his hand and said 'Well, you've got a whole lot to find out, buddy.'

Xiaxia opened the door of the room.

It was almost noon. The bright, warm light coming from the window made the figure of the violin player obscure.

With her eyes closed, the maiden was following the melody to move back and forth elegantly. It seemed everything in the room was slowing down, forming a breathtaking picture in Xiaxia's mind.

As the performance was over, everyone applauded the beautiful melody, but Xiaxia was shocked.

'I don't know you guys, but... thank you.' Out of everyone's surprise, the maiden seemed outgoing.

She was looking at the whole band with a smile when she noticed Xiaxia and got shocked. The two of them stared at each other as if time was frozen.

The autumn wind blew into the window, reminding the maidens of their past, but neither of them could say a word.

It is already incredible to talk about exchanging dreams, and they actually did it.

'I'm so happy to realize your dream.'

'So am I.'

Interpretation[]

The suit continues the story from Flower Season Melody.

At this stage, Xiaxia is no longer a young girl and no longer plays classical music, but is now a bass player in a rock band. She reflects about who she has become now before she hears the sound of a violin. She then realises that the person playing the violin is the same girl, Tina (Prelude to Youth), she had befriended and fell in love with when she was younger, and back when that friend loved rock music. Together, they tearfully reunite on their old campus under the maple leaves, holding hands and gazing at one another fondly as they talk about the old days and how they inspired one another and helped them each love a new kind of music, and find their future. (Symphonic Poem of Future).

Before and after performing at the school ceremony, she reflects on their distant yet fond relationship on how the two seemed to have "exchanged" their childhood dreams with the other, playing the music the other person played before, as well as wondering if it was fate that led to them to see each other. Though they go their separate ways, she is happy to have seen an old friend again.
