Interpretation[edit | edit source]

Feathery Dream is about an angel who resides in a treehouse in a forest. The flowers of the forest decorate her hair and her eyes, which are free of any earthly ordinariness, are clear and transparent like the sky. Being the angel of dreams, she weaves happy dreams using sunshine and the wind of four seasons to light up every night, painting a colorful world. The materials to build the dreams are the beautiful scenery she records, and by the time the last glow is gone—when the Milky Way shimmers in the sky—she starts building the dreams. She then flies over the hills to the green pond with her golden wings, which shines a luminous light, to fulfill the whole dream zone.

Examples of scenery that exists in the forest are the spring ripples that create a heavenly song and the forest itself when illuminated by golden twilight, shining like a beacon. The latter said to mark the direction of happiness, emphasized by the sweet songs and broad laughter mentioned in the same description. And as mentioned in the beginning, she experiences the four seasons, like the maple leaves swirling down on her wings, as well as the snowflakes falling down. Contrary to what one might think, she herself also needs to sleep, as seen what happened after the rain in summer: heat waves filled with wooden freshness made her feel drowsy. By the time the sky brightened—when the fairies with white wings sang blessed songs—the morning breeze would be sent into her dream. When the first rays of sunshine fell gently on her windowsill, she opened her eyes and the birds sang to bid her good morning, making her raise her head from her books.
