Dwarves are a race primarily found in the Pigeon Kingdom. Dwarves are found both in Plata, at the base of the Renieve Snowpeaks,[1] or in Dwarf Town, which is located in Pigeon Forest.[2] They generally have round faces and big eyes. Their voices are described as cute and cheerful.[3]
Dwarves are primarily known for their expert abilities with gems as craftsmen and designers.[4][5] They have their own traditions, one of which is the Moonhalf Banquet, a festival known for its wine and dance.[6]

History[]
Elf Relations[]
Though they both have significant populations coexisting in the Pigeon Forest, dwarves and elves do not always get along, and there is some prejudice from both parties. Their designs also contribute to this, as dwarves are good at cute and lively styles, while elves are better at elegant and pure. Elves see dwarves as the type to always indulge in things like music, jewelry, and banquets, and thus stereotype them as abrupt and stupid. Meanwhile, dwarves see elves as cold, lofty, and vengeful. Because of this, the two populations end up blaming each other for disputes.[10]
Human Relations[]
For a long time, humans enslaved dwarves. This period is considered the "Dark Age". Dwarves such as Rudfia spent their entire lives trying to save others and help them return to the Pigeon forest.[9] Similarly, some humans founded a secret association to save dwarves.[11]

Beyond the slavery issue, humans misunderstood the needs of dwarves. One such incident occurred at the 15th Human-Dwarf Trade Seminar, during which the dwarf Chief Hewt requested twenty ships from humans; however, this was only because dwarf boats traditionally only carried one person each. The humans took this as an opportunity to slander the dwarves, accusing them of "ransacking [their] backyard" while foreign armies were at their door. It was later discovered that somebody was stirring up the controversy on purpose.[9]
Those who were viewed as traitors to either side of the conflict were ostracized: Rudfia was slandered for working with humans, while Sir Ullis, a human who worked with Rudfia, was sentenced for treason.[9]
Dwarf slavery was finally ended when King Ellude came to rule Pigeon, ending the war between Pigeon and foreign entities, as well as going forward with dwarf elders to find peace.[9]
In the year 680, both dwarves and humans live together in Dwarf Town, which is led by a human mayor and by Dwarf Chieftain Holtby.[2] According to Chloris, the relations here have been generally good.[12]
