Mumu is the youngest of the koi spirits and loves calling for her friends to swim in this massive divine lake.

She has no concept of 'still' in her life. Her tail is always splashing away even in sleep.

Legend says the center of the lake is a massive tree that protects the place, but the tree likes solitude.

Mumu accidentally stumbles into a whirlpool on a dark night and sees she is in the middle of the lake.

The middle of the divine lake is completely still and a tree grows there, with a spirit sitting below.

The tree spirit is emotionless on her face but Mumu instantly wants to be closer to her, and walks up.

The tree shakes as Mumu laughs heartily. Mumu knows this is the tree spirit's wordless reply.

The whole area is in cold colors and Mumu uses her power to bloom a red flower in the shape of her dreams.

Mumu sits next to the tree spirit and talks about her life. The spirit listens and touches Mumu with her leaves.

Mumu thinks she might stay here forever. Water does not flow and there is no light, but the tree spirit is here.

Eventually, Mumu realizes she told her whole life to the tree spirit. She grows tired and no longer wants to talk.

She starts to miss the torrents, friends, and adventure outside, but she is afraid of never seeing the tree spirit.

The silence makes Mumu fall asleep as tree branches touch her cheek, and she wakes to the outside world.

Mumu never manages to return to the tree. She often dreams of a red flower forever blooming in the still waters.

Mumu doesn't believe anyone in this world would want to be alone. They just haven't experienced companionship.
